1 box | elbow macaroni (16-ounce) |
2 Tbsp | butter, softened |
2 Tbsp | Shore Lunch® Spicy Buffalo Style Chicken Breading Mix |
⅓ cup | plain dry breadcrumbs |
2 pkg | Southeastern Mills® Mix |
3 cups | water (divided) |
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook until done, about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain, place macaroni back into pot; set aside.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a large baking dish with cooking spray; set aside.
In a small bowl, add butter, Spicy Buffalo Style Breading Mix and plain breadcrumbs, stir to combine; set topping aside.
In a large saucepan, add 1½ cups water, bring to a boil.
In a medium bowl, add both packets of dry Cheese Sauce Mix. Gradually stir in remaining 1½ cups cool water, until cheese sauce is smooth. Add to saucepan of boiling water, stirring until sauce begins to thicken, remove from heat.
Pour prepared cheese sauce over cooked macaroni, stir to combine and place into baking dish. Evenly spread topping over macaroni and cheese. Place in oven and bake until topping is golden brown, about 25-30 minutes.
