The culture at Southeastern Mills is based on a philosophy called High Performance Work Place (HPWP). For more than a decade, our culture has helped us achieve "exceptional performance through the highest of expectations." We believe that people, not buildings or equipment determine whether an organization will succeed, and foster an environment that is conducive to maximum performance through positive assumptions, mutual trust and respect and open two-way communication.

At the core of HPWP is a belief that about 95% of all employees at all levels are responsible workers and citizens who want our business and customers to be successful and who want to be successful themselves. These are people who have integrity, work hard, are "plenty smart" and will make decisions within their commitments. As a company, our goal is to cultivate an environment that maximizes employee contributions by establishing the highest expectations for performance, leveraging the power of teams, celebrating our accomplishments and actively learning on those occasions when things don't go right.
