Ingredients & Shopping List

Serves 4

  • 1 (4.5-ounce) Southeastern Mills® Old Fashioned Peppered Gravy Mix
  • ½ cup plain breadcrumbs
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • canola oil for frying
  • 1 pound chicken tenders (about 10)
  • 1/3 cup milk


  1. To a large re-sealable plastic bag, add DRY Old Fashioned Peppered Gravy Mix, breadcrumbs and garlic powder, seal and turn to combine.
  2. In a large skillet, add enough oil to cover chicken tenders, preheat oil to 350°F.
  3. Dip chicken tenders in milk.
  4. Place 2 chicken tenders at a time in plastic bag, turn to coat. Repeat.
  5. Fry chicken until done or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Serving Suggestions

Serve alone with your favorite barbecue sauce or honey for dipping. To make a salad a meal, slice prepared chicken fingers and top a fresh green salad. Add chopped apples, mandarin orange slices and chopped nuts for a healthful lunch.
